- Paint and varnish industry, for the production of linseed oil, varnishes, paints, pigment pastes

- Food industry, as an E1503 food additive

- Pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, perfumery

- Manufacture of rubber and rubber

Castor oil is a clear or slightly yellowish liquid, rather thick and viscous. The smell is not pronounced, but the taste is peculiar and slightly unpleasant.
