Applications

Acetone as a solvent for nitro enamels and nitro-lacquers is widely used in paint and varnish production; in turn, this product is indispensable in the manufacture of nail polish remover.

Acetone is an important component of license solvent used in the production of films, smokeless powder, and organic shatterproof glass.

Also, acetone is used in the pharmaceutical industry - used for the production of medicinal films and some medicines, in particular, analgesics.

Acetone is a colorless, volatile, highly inflammable liquid with a specific odor.

Safety and regulation

Technical acetone GOST 2768-84 is a flammable liquid with a characteristic odor, which has a strong irritant effect on the skin, mucous membrane of the eyes and upper respiratory tract. In this regard, the work with the solvent is carried out in rubber gloves in a well-ventilated area. At hit of solvent on skin wash it off with a large amount of water with soap.
